Bacillus Subtilis Natto

A proprietary strain of Bacillus that strengthens the beneficial intestinal flora and encourages the body to produce its own nutrients.

Bacillus subtilis natto was found by Dr. Sawamura in 1906 and is the most stable bacteria in nature that – when added to boiled soybeans – produces Natto and Vitamin K2 – Menaquinone-7, a fermented soybean.

Bacillus subtilis natto was approved for the manufacture of drug medicines in 1968, for animal drugs in 1990, and as a dietary additive in 1994, in Japan.

BSN is a spore probiotic, which is very stable and durable. BSN may work with the lower gastrointestinal tract to help the body product its own Vitamin K2-Menaquinone-7 and Vitamin B. By encouraging increased colonization of beneficial flora, BSN helps promote proper flora balance by crowding out non-beneficial bacteria. Animal studies have shown a reduction in occasional diarrhea with the administration of BSN.
